She worked photo model. She went in for sports, led a healthy lifestyle, read books, loved cinema, she traveled a lot, etc..
But all that has changed. Russia viciously attacked her native Ukraine. The Russians are waging a genocidal war against Ukraine. They bomb Ukrainian cities, kill women and children, rob and rape.
Now Maria is volunteering. She helps Ukraine's armed forces and refugees affected by the war. She dreams, like millions of Ukrainians, of a peaceful sky over her head.
